President Alan Gagloev met with Advisor to the Chairman of the Board of the Association of Combat Veterans of Internal Affairs Bodies and Internal Troops of Russia, statesman and public figure, writer Ivan Solovyov, the press service of the head of state reports.
The day before, the South Ossetian State University hosted a presentation of the book "Red Lines", the author of which is Ivan Solovyov.
This is the first work of art in Russia dedicated to a special military operation in Ukraine, based on real events and the fate of military personnel on the front line.
Ivan Solovyov thanked the head of state for the warm welcome and attention.
The author of the book has emphasized that the participation of representatives of different nationalities, including Ossetians, plays a key role in the special operation. Ivan Solovyov noted the example of true love for the Motherland, selfless courage and patriotism of the South Ossetian youth.
“The fighters of South Ossetia symbolize resilience and heroism in Ukraine; they ate honorably defending independence and the legitimate right to a free and peaceful life. You, as the leader of the nation, can be proud of your compatriots who are defendung our Motherland and the future of our children,” he said.
For his part, Alan Gagloev noted Ivan Solovyov's significant contribution to expanding the horizons of fiction in the global space.
“You are a unique person who has made a significant contribution to Russian literature. Your works are the spiritual heritage of Russia. Based on the appeal to universal values, you talk about the difficult fate of many heroes, including our fighters, and also adhere to moral principles - honor, conscience, duty - in your life as well,” the head of state has emphasized.
He has also noted that the presentation of the book "Red Lines" in South Ossetia shows the warm attitude of the author to the Republic and plays an important role in the development of relations between the two fraternal peoples.
“I wish you further creative success and new projects. For our part, we are ready to support your undertakings. After all, people like you are an example for all of us,” the President said.
For his great personal contribution to the development and strengthening of friendship and cooperation between the peoples of the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation, active socio- political activities, the head of state awarded Ivan Solovyov with the Order of Honor.
At the end of the meeting, Ivan Solovyov presented Alan Gagloev with memorable gifts and an icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh.
