The Defense Minister of South Ossetia, Guards Colonel Marat Pavlov, the personnel of the Defense Ministry expressed condolences to the family, relatives and friends of Alan Dzhioev, who died a hero's death during the Russian special military operation, the press service of the defense department reports.
“Alan Dzhioev was born on October 16, 1996 in the city of Tskhinval, from November 21, 2014 to May 23, 2016 he was serving in the in the ranks of the national Armed Forces. From August 1, 2016 to April 1, 2018, he was serving under a contract in various departments of the Defense Ministry," the press service said in the statement.
The Ministry has noted that while serving in the national army, Alan Dzhioev showed himself as a responsible and competent high-level specialist, he was respected among colleagues and friends.
