The solemn opening of the Days of Culture of South Ossetia took place in Sukhum. According to the press service of Ministry of Culture of the Republic of South Ossetia, the event was opened by the ministers of culture of South Ossetia and Abkhazia - Rada Dzagoeva and Daur Kove.
“With great warmth, we remember how we were met in South Ossetia. Today, our brothers and sisters from South Ossetia came to us on a return visit to hold the Days of Culture of South Ossetia in Abkhazia, and we are very pleased to welcome our fraternal teams to the Abkhazian land,” Kove said.
Rada Dzagoeva greeted all participants and guests of the event on behalf of President Alan Gagloev.
“Our peoples are bound by long-term friendly relations and cooperation in various spheres of the life of our states, and it is very pleasant that even greater rapprochement, development and strengthening of our fraternal relations is planned in the field of culture,” Dzagoeva said.
She thanked her colleague for his willingness to cooperate and strengthen ties in the field of culture.
After the official part, the performance "Black Burka" based on the work of Gheor Hugaev, directed by Kazbek Dzheliev, was shown with great success.
The hall was crowded with connoisseurs of theatrical art. The Abkhaz audience greeted the artists very warmly; the applause at the end of the performance did not stop for a very long time.
And today, at 18:00, on the stage of the Razhden Gumba Abkhaz State Philharmonic will host a concert of the Boris Galaev State Song and Dance. Group "Simd".
People's Artist of the Republic of South Ossetia Vano Bekoev and a singer Marta Kharebova will also take part in the concert.
The events will end with the closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of South Ossetia in Abkhazia.
