The events on the occasion of the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of South Ossetia were held at a high level, Enrik Muslimov, head of the delegation of the Republic of Dagestan, Minister for National Policy and Religious Affairs, noted during the meeting with President of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev.
"Everything was organized at a very high level. It is clear that the Republic has gained experience in this regard. Friends of South Ossetia gathered for the celebrations and shared this holiday of freedom and independence with it," Muslimov said.
According to him, the Ossetian people are an ancient people who have their own traditions and customs, and are very close to the Dagestan people in spirit.
"We are fraternal peoples and will always be there," the Minister said.
President of South Ossetia, in turn, has noted that Dagestan is headed by a patriot of his homeland, Sergei Alimovich Melikov.
"The history of our peoples is strong; we were supporting and continue to support each other.
Thank you for coming to share such an important holiday with us," the President stressed.
At the end of the meeting, the head of state awarded Muslimov and assistant to the head of the administration, head and government of Dagestan Magomed Khadulaev with the Order of Friendship.
