The School of Media Communications has started operating at the South Ossetian State University, within which training seminars will be held for journalists.
Deputy Director for Scientific Work of the National Research Institute for the Development of Communications (NIIRK) Valentina Komleva addressed the participants with a welcoming speech. She has noted that the research institute is primarily engaged in the development of scientific dialogue.
“We work a lot with young people who are interested in becoming analysts, sociologists, political scientists, and are ready to work in the media environment. We are very supportive of such a school. I hope everything will work out for us today,” Komleva said.
Rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev has noted that the research institute is one of those scientific organizations with which South Ossetian State University has maximum cooperation.
"Such conferences and our partners help South Ossetia to return to the information field, which is very important," he said.
Trade Representative of Abkhazia in the Russian Federation Oleg Bartsits has noted that he is glad to welcome the youth of South Ossetia, who are the future of the Republic.
“Young people with an active civic position, young energy, which, I am sure, will definitely transform into useful and necessary projects that are so necessary for your republic. I would like to wish you success in all your endeavors and fruitful work,” Bartsits said.
Training seminars for the South Ossetian media representatives will be held on the following topics: cognitive warfare: basic tools and methods of counteraction, Telegram channel: technologies for working as a political analyst, territory branding.
Participants of the school of media communications will also be told how to make nicknames (State Nickname) an important factor in business strategies and advertising campaigns, how nicknames help attracting intellectual and labor force and increasing GDP.
Seminars for journalists will be conducted by political scientist, journalist, expert and analyst Semyon Uralov and journalist, chief editor of the magazine “Man and the World”, holder of the 2nd degree medal of the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, Dmitry Balburov.
The organizers of the event are: International Development Institute Foundation "MIR-MOST-OSETIA", the Alexander Tibilov South Ossetian State University National Fund for Support of Social Programs of the Russian Federation (NFSP), National Research Institute for the Development of Communications (NIIRK, Russia).
The media school students will be given certificates of participation.
