In Tskhinval, Azamat Bitiev, perished, while performing his military duty in the zone of a special military operation, was held on his last journey.
Azamat Bitiev was fighting as part of the Sarmat battalion. The farewell took place on Heroes Street, where the fighter was living.
Representatives of the Republic's leadership, led by President Alan Gagloev, came to the farewell ceremony.
Friends, relatives of Azamat were remembering him as an honest, brave, reliable person.
"We are prematurely seeing off a patriot who performed his military duty with honor. Azamat has always been a worthy representative of his homeland, he died for peace, and we bow our heads in respect of his courage, dedication and devotion. His memory will always live in our hearts. The whole of Ossetia is grieving," it was noted at the rally.
Azamat was 27 years old, he did not have time to start a family.
By decree of President of the Republic of South Ossetia, the fighter was awarded the medal "Defender of the Fatherland" posthumously.
