In April, 26 the violators were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia, of which 17 violated the state border regime, and nine violated the border regime. This was reported by the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia.
According to the department, the KGB border service conducted investigations into each fact of violation of legal regimes.
“As a result, 11 people were subjected to an administrative fine, three were expelled from the Republic with penalties, two without penalties, four people were warned, criminal cases were initiated against five people, an investigation is underway against one person,” the Committee has listed.
The KGB drew the attention of citizens and guests of the Republic planning their trips to vacation spots, weddings and funeral events in the settlements located within the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia to the need to have identification documents with them (passport, service ID, birth certificate for minors, and for foreign citizens - also passes to the border zone).
The department has also reminded the heads of district and rural administrations of South Ossetia that with the onset of the period of arable and other seasonal agricultural works in the areas located in the border zone of the Republic of South Ossetia, it is necessary to obtain permits for economic activities in advance.
The KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia has warned that deliberate violation of the legal regimes established on the state border and border territory entails not only administrative, but also criminal liability.
