Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev has met with the mothers of Beslan, who arrived in Tskhinval for the mourning ceremony on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the Zar tragedy and the opening of a photo exhibition at the South Ossetian State University.
The head of government presented flowers to the mothers and noted their enormous resilience.
Dzhussoev has emphasized that the exhibition dedicated to the Beslan tragedy, which opened in the art exhibition hall of South Ossetian State University on Tuesday, is the important event for preserving the memory of the victims of the terrorist attack.
“This is a very important exhibition so that we remember, do not allow such a terrorist attack in the future and our children live in safety. I visit Beslan every year, and every year the memory of those who perished in this terrible terrorist attack resonates in my heart with pain,” Dzhussoev said.
The head of the Committee of the Association of Victims of Terrorist Acts “Mothers of Beslan” Susanna Dudieva has noted that South Ossetia is like a second home for them and emphasized that they would like to receive the South Ossetian citizenship.
“We have already collected some of the documents; we want to become citizens of South Ossetia. My father is a native of the village of Chimas , Dzau district, and I want to be useful to my homeland. The other mothers of Beslan act with the same desire,” Dudieva said.
She expressed gratitude to Dzhussoev for his support. The head of government was presented with literature about the Beslan tragedy.
“These books contain the entire struggle of the mothers of Beslan for truth and justice,” Dudieva has emphasized.
