Russian scientists arrived in Tskhinval on a working visit

A group of Russian scientists headed by director of the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Andrey Kibrik visited the South Ossetian State University, the press service of the university told IA “Res ”.

As noted by the University, as part of the visit, a meeting was held with the rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev.

“The detailed conversation took place on the issues of expanding further cooperation,” the press service has noted.

The university reminded that the South Ossetian State University and the Institute of Linguistics of the Russian Academy of Sciences signed a cooperation agreement in 2016.

“At the end of the working meeting, the parties exchanged memorable gifts and publications by the scientists of the aforementioned organizations,” the press service has clarified. - Vadim Tedeev gave the guests a guided tour of the university complex, introduced them to the work of the university television "YUOGU TV", the museum complex of the South Ossetian State University, the Russian center of the "Russian World" Foundation, etc."

For the South Ossetian part the meeting was attended by Professor of the Department of the Ossetian Language and General Linguistics of the South Ossetian State University, Chief Researcher of the South Ossetian Research Institute Zoya Bitarti, Dean of the Faculty of Russian Philology, Journalism and Foreign Languages, Head of the Department of Science of the South Ossetian State University Irina Bekova, Head of the Media Holding of the South Ossetian State University Alla Dzhioeva.

The Russian scientists also visited the Zakhary Vaneev South Ossetian Research Institute, where they met with the staff. They have also visited the Vaso Abaev House-Museum, laid flowers at the monuments to Abaev and Khetagurov, whose 165th anniversary is being celebrated by the entire Ossetia
