South Ossetia has received with a sense of deep sorrow the news about the attack by the Israeli armed forces on the Iranian Consulate in Damascus, as a result of which there are human casualties among the staff of the consular institution, as well as among the Syrian citizens. This is stated in the note of condolences of the South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev to Minister of Foreign Affairs and Compatriots of the Syrian Arab Republic Faisal al-Mikdad.

A meeting was held in Moscow between President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev and Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak, the press service of the head of state reports.

Issues of bilateral interaction were considered, in particular, issues of development of socio-economic sphere of the Republic of South Ossetia were discussed.

Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the Program for Socio-Economic Development of the Republic of South Ossetia until 2025.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev will pay a working visit to the Russian Federation. During the visit, it is planned to hold a number of meetings where issues of socio-economic development of the Republic will be discussed, the presidential press service reports.

The head of state is accompanied by head of the Presidential Executive Office, Alan Margiev and Deputy Chairman of the government, Minister of Justice of South Ossetia, Alan Dzhioev.

A resident of Tbilisi, violated the state border of South Ossetia in January, was handed over to the Georgian side on Monday, April 1, the press service of the Republic’s KGB reports.

Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev took part in the event in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall. According to the press service of the diplomatic department, Gassiev, on behalf of the people of South Ossetia, laid flowers at the spontaneous memorial.

“The heads and representatives of dozens of diplomatic missions of foreign countries accredited in Moscow and representatives of international organizations also laid flowers at the spontaneous memorial,” the message says.

Representatives of South Ossetian state media will take part in the round table meeting to exchange experience in working with compatriots abroad, Vestnik South Ossetia reports.

The organizers are the Department of External Economic and International Relations of the city of Moscow and the State Institution “Moscow House of Compatriots” with the support of the Department of External Relations of the Administration of the Governor of the Samara Region.

The First International Scientific and Practical Conference “Tibilov Readings” started at the South Ossetian State University on Friday, dedicated to the birthday of one of the founders of the University, educator, scientist, and prominent public figure Alexander Tibilov.

The event brought together 96 representatives from five countries of the near and far abroad and seven regions, 18 universities and three colleges, linguists from Ossetia and Russia, as well as from India.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, at the invitation of maestro Valery Gergiev, took part in the action in memory of the victims of the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow. This was reported by the press service of the Embassy of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation.

The Fraternal Solidarity Aid Fund, led by Alan Pliev, has completed the action to collect humanitarian aid for the fighters in the special military operation and is preparing to send humanitarian aid in the near future.

The collection of humanitarian aid took place as part of the all-Russian campaign “Warmth for a Hero.”
