The issue of searching for missing persons is one of the most important, the OSCE Co-Chair Christoph Späth said during the press conference.

On Tuesday, the Co-Chairs representing three international organizations arrived in the capital of South Ossetia for a regular meeting ahead of the 63rd round, which will be held in Geneva in March.

"I can assure you that this issue will be the focus of our work," Späth has stressed.

He has emphasized that he was glad to hear from all the participants in the meeting their commitment to the process, and how highly they valued the Geneva process itself.

"This is my first visit to South Ossetia; I was recently appointed the OSCE Special Representative for the South Caucasus. It is important for us to work to ensure security and peace, and to improve the lives of the population affected by the conflict,” Späth has shared.

Christoph Späth has noted that on Friday, February 14, he will be a co-moderator at the upcoming meeting in the village of Ergnet in the IPRM format.

He also emphasized that he was pleased to meet the Plenipotentiary Representative of President of South Ossetia for Post-Conflict Settlement Murat Dzhioev.
