The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of South Ossetia is intended to institute legal proceedings on the fact of the shelling of RSO capital Tskhinval on the night of 15 June. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent by the first deputy of RSO Attorney General Eldar Kokoev.
On 14 June 2008 the team of military observers from the three sides in concert with the OSCE Mission representatives conducted a monitoring of the Little and Larger Liakhva gorge settlements and also at the south-eastern border of JPKF responsibility zone.
The Georgian side placed another illegal MIA post in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone. As IA «Res» correspondent was informed by RSO deputy Prime Minister who is also JCC on Georgian-Ossetian conflict settlement South Ossetian part co-chairman Boris Chochiev the post was established at Sver village.
«We are constantly claiming that the Georgian side is violating all the existing agreements by establishment of numeral illegal posts, i.e. posts not agreed within the JCC framework. As it became known they established the other day one more illegal post at Sveri village»-said Chochiev.
The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met with the President of the Republic of Abkhazia Sergey Bagapsh.
One of the wounded during the shelling of Tskhinval on the night on 15 June Alan Khodov died. This was informed to IA «Res» correspondent at the Republican somatic hospital. The status of Alan Khodov was estimated by the doctors as extremely serious.
Georgian side claims the situation in the Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone will be systematically aggravated, but RSO law enforcement organs are bending every effort to protect the population of Republic. This was stated to IA «Res» correspondent by the Minister of Interior of RSO Mikhail Mindzaev.
«Provocations from the Georgian side will continue but we will bend every effort to prevent them. We can guarantee that we will be protecting our people and we wick protect it.The Georgian side at the semiofficial level claims that the situation within the conflict zone will be systematically aggravated. However we are ready for this and there is nothing for RSO population to be afraid of»-claimed Nindzaev.
In connection with the yesterday’s shelling of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia IA «Res» correspondent turned for the commentary to the Head of RNO-Alania peacekeeping battalion Kazbek Friev. According to him on 14 June at about 23:40 Georgian side without any cause fired the RNO-Alania peacekeeping post «CARZ» with the automatic weapon and grenade launchers.
«Yesterday’s fire attack on Tskhinval is another demonstration of Georgian side’s adherence to solely force means of Georgian-Ossetian contradictions settlement»-stated the President of the Republic of South Ossetia commenting the actions of Georgia’s armed formations who bombarded the capital of South Ossetia on the night from 14 to 15 June.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Murat Djioev directed an official letter to OSCE Chairman-in-Office Alexander Stubb in connection with press release in the conclusion of the meeting of Alexander Stubb with the Foreign Minister of Georgia.
Eventuated a working meeting of the Chairman of Government of the Republic of South Ossetia Yuri Morozov and the Chairman of Government of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Nikolai Khlyntsov. According to RSO press service at the meeting were discussed the issues of interaction of two Governments, integration of republics and the oncoming common sitting of the two Governments.
