A BMP-2 ammunition was found on one of the streets of Tskhinval

Sappers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia left on Monday morning to neutralize a shell found on one of the streets of Tskhinval, the press service of the Emergency Situations Ministry told the IA “Res”.

“A 30 mm BMP-2 projectile was found on Nartovskaya Street in the capital of the Republic. The Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call from a traffic police officer at 09.56,” the press service said.

The sappers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations left for the place. The ammunition was defused.

A resident of the capital of South Ossetia found an explosive device at the entrance of her house

On Sunday afternoon, a resident of Tskhinval discovered a dangerous find and reported it to the rescuers, Vazha Dzagoev, the head of the Emergency Situations Ministry's duty shift, told the IA “Res”.

“A woman living on Lenin Street, 130, reported to the emergency department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations that she had found a grenade at the entrance of the storeroom while cleaning. We immediately sent sappers there and upon arrival it turned out that it was an F-1 combat grenade,” Dzagoev said.

Georgian citizen detained in South Ossetia was expelled from the Republic

The State Security Committee of South Ossetia reported that a Georgian citizen detained on December 1 in the locality of Vanel Dzau district by the officers of the stationary traffic police post was expelled from the Republic.

"It has been established that the offender Dzhanelidze Malkhaz Olegovich, born in 1974, a resident of Telavi, deliberately crossed the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia with Georgia in the vicinity of the settlement of Ergnet," the KGB press service clarified.

A citizen of Georgia who illegally crossed the border has been detained at the Vanel checkpoint in South Ossetia

A 47-year-old resident of Tbilisi was detained by officers of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia at the stationary traffic police post in the village of Vanel, Dzau District.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the man was on foot and did not have any documents with him. He explained that he had illegally crossed the border near the village of Ergneti. The citizen of Georgia was handed over to the Border Guard Service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister is on a working trip to Turkey

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev arrived in Istanbul on November 30 on the invitation of the leadership of the Ossetian community of Turkey, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

During the visit, a number of meetings are planned, including with the leadership and activists of the Ossetian community in Turkey.

The meeting will touch upon the issues of cultural and humanitarian cooperation. The visit will last until December 3.
