Leaders of Russia and South Ossetia Vladimir Putin and Anatoly Bibilov discussed at the talks in Moscow the development of cooperation between the two countries, as well as summed up the decade that passed after the recognition of Tskhinval's independence by Moscow,said a press Secretary of the RSO President Dina Gassieva.
Addressing his South Ossetian colleague, the President of the Russian Federation has reminded that August 26 will be marked the 10th anniversary of Russia's recognition of South Ossetia's independence.

Recognition of the independence of South Ossetia by Damascus was a conscious step on the part of the leadership of Syria, said Riyad Haddad, the Ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Russia.

The leaders of South Ossetia and Russia will hold talks in Moscow during the visit of the RSO President Anatoly Bibilov to the Russian Federation, which will be held from August 23 to 25.
