Defenders of the Fatherland, public figures and journalists of South Ossetia were awarded by the order of the head of the Main Directorate of the Federation of the Union of Cossacks of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Boris Shcherbin.

The orders and medals were presented to the recipients at the meeting of the Council of Veterans of the Armed Forces and Combat Operations of South Ossetia.

South Ossetia and Russia signed a protocol between the customs services

Customs officers of South Ossetia and Russia signed a Protocol on the termination of the Agreement on the procedure for appealing decisions and actions (inaction) of officials of the specialized customs authority, the South Ossetian Herald reports.

“The agreement has lost its relevance due to the fact that the Law “On the application of the law of the Eurasian Economic Union and the legislation of the Russian Federation in the sphere of customs regulation on the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia” came into force in South Ossetia on January 1, 2023,” the report says.
