On July, 19, 2011 the working meeting of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post conflict settlement Chochiev B., the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia Dzhioev M. К, the State Counselor of the President of the RSO Kochiev K.K. with the co-chairmen of the Geneva discussions on safety in Transcaucasia has taken place in the Republic of South Ossetia.
A number of questions connected with preparation for conducting the 17th round of the Geneva discussions in October, 2011 were discussed at the meeting. In particular, during the conversation the representatives of South Ossetia have underlined again the necessity of active efforts for creation and preparation of the force non-use document. Discussing humanitarian questions, it has been mentioned that the question of gas supply in Leningorskiy region through Georgia is still on a stage of regress. The South-Ossetian side has expressed discontent about the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly concerning the problem of refugees - the representatives of South Ossetia and Abkhazia again have not been invited to the discussion. It has been declared that submission of the refugee issue in a format of the United Nations General Assembly ignoring the representatives of South Ossetia and Abkhazia exceeds the limits of the Geneva discussions which become pointless in that case.
