A professional boxer from South Ossetia Murat Gassiev will fight the next bout in Ufa (Bashkortostan) on May 31. This has been said IA "Res" by the coach of the athlete Vitaly Slanov.
"The fight will take place in the weight class 90 kg. Gassiev will hold the six-round match with the Russian boxer Vladimir Semenov. The opponent of our athlete is 34 years old. To date, he has already held 28 fights, "- said Slanov. According to him, Semenov is rather experienced athlete of great physical strength and power.
"But I think that because of his technical and tactical training Gassiev will win a victory in this match, despite his young age and the fact that our boxer is slightly inferior to his opponent by his physical indicators," - he added. The coach has said that Murat Gassiev is training for the upcoming fight in the capital of North Ossetia.
"Currently we are training in Vladikavkaz. Gassiev is in good form. I am pleased with the results of his general and special physical training. The only problem is that here we do not have enough experienced sparring partners of his weight class - continued Slanov. - So the other day we`ll go to Moscow and Chelyabinsk for training session, to make the emphasis on sparring before the fight."
It should be noted that Murat Gassiev debuted on the professional ring in September 2011. To date, he had four fights and won all of them.
The athlete is 18 years old. He is representing the Russian promotional company "Ural Boxing Promotion." Gassiev is being trained in the Tskhinval branch of the boxing club "Ariana" by the honored coach of South Ossetia and Russia Vitaly Slanov and master of sports Alexander Tedeev.
