South Ossetian schoolchildren took part in the International Youth Forum

Students from South Ossetia took part in the International Youth Forum, "Water and World Heritage", which took place in the All-Russian Children's Center "Eaglet". As reported to IA "Res" by the head of the South Ossetian delegation Inna Zubko, a forum was held under the auspices of UNESCO within the framework of the 36th World Heritage Committee.

At the forum, explained Zubko, had been discussed environmental issues, protection and preservation of cultural heritage.
"The forum was aimed at increasing young people's interest in the problems of preservation of water resources, consciousness of need for protection of world cultural and natural heritage, as well as to develop the creative potential of young people. Seminars and master classes were conducted for them; the excursions were also organized. I think that this forum gave them an opportunity to gain experience and new knowledge, "- said Zubko.
She said the forum was attended by students from 14 countries worldwide. South Ossetian schoolchildren presented their program-"Water and Cultural Heritage in South Ossetia.""Members of our delegation told the audience about our water recourses, springs, rivers, lakes, mountain glaciers, waterfalls and the unique mineral springs" - added Zubko.
The South Ossetian delegation had the opportunity to attend the "Eaglet" thanks to the assistance of the Embassy of Russia in South Ossetia. The schoolchildren were presented with theparticipants`certificates for the work done.
