International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in South Ossetia will hold an essay contest for selection of participants of the Summer School on International Humanitarian Law.
This was reported IA "Res" by a spokesperson of the ICRC mission in South Ossetia Marina Tedeti.
"For the ICRC the year 2013 is remarkable: the organization is celebrating the 150th anniversary of its humanitarian activities and this year almost all public actions will be held under the auspices of this event - said Tedeti. - February 17, the ICRC will be 150 years, the essay competition and, as a result, the summer IHL School – is another opportunity to remind of the importance of the humanitarian assistance, provided by the organization."
According to the spokesperson, to participate in the contest, which starts on February 15, will be invited the schoolchildren of South Ossetia, aged from 12 to 16.
"As a result of the contest will be selected 15 participants of the IHL Summer School, scheduled for June of this year," - explained the spokesperson.
Winners of the competition will be announced no later than April 3, 2013.
