The Georgian side at the Geneva discussions again raised the issue of the death of Archil Tatunashvili, trying to make of this show, said Presidential Envoy of South Ossetia for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev.
However, the attempts of the Georgian delegation were unsuccessful, since Georgia has no reason to claim the murder of Tatunashvili.
"Representatives of Georgia issued a conclusion, according to which about 100 abrasions and injuries were allegedly found on Tatunashvili's body," Dzhioev said. "But we have noted that the South Ossetian side concealed the fact that his body was bruised, as he tried to grab a gun from the guard, and force was used to him."
The Envoy has noted that according to the results of the examination, the incident with the attempted escape was not the cause of Tatunashvili's death.
"The cause of death was acute heart failure," Dzhioev reminded. "This is recorded in the conclusion that we handed over together with the body to the Georgian side."
He again stressed that the decision to transfer the body with the conclusion of an independent forensic medical examination was absolutely correct.
"Moreover, as a result of the examination conducted at the medical center named after Samkharauli, the Georgian side did not find any concrete reason to claim the murder of Tatunashvili," Dzioev continued. "Therefore, the staff of the center in Georgia is heavily criticized, accused of not patriotism."
The South Ossetian diplomat has noted that the conclusion of the experts of the center did not suit the public and the Georgian media, "they demand a new examination, even they do not believe their experts".
"Although it has always been said that the Samharauli center is a state in the state," said the Envoy.
Dzhioev has added that having no opportunity to refute the arguments of South Ossetia, in Georgia, from the death of a man and the grief of his family, they are doing PR.
