Delegation of South Ossetia presented in Damascus the investment potential of the Republic

The delegation of South Ossetia headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic Alan Alborov, is participating in the 60th Damascus International Exhibition held under the motto "The Glory of the East begins with Damascus."
As reported to IA "Res" by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia, in addition to the head of the CCI, representatives of the business community of the Republic, as well as heads of a number of South Ossetian construction organizations, are also in Damascus.

According to Alan Alborov, the purpose of the South Ossetian delegation is to give foreign investors the opportunity to obtain the necessary information about the prospects for implementing projects in South Ossetia, to introduce them to the economic and investment potential of the Republic.
According to him, South Ossetia's participation in the work of a major international investment site will contribute to the development of South Ossetian-Syrian relations in the sphere of economy and business.

Imad Khamis: The Damascus International Exhibition will become the new "Silk Road"

President of the Republic of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, officials from 48 foreign countries, representatives of numerous companies, trade and industry attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition, launched by the Prime Minister of Syria Imad Khamis.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), in his speech at the opening, Khamis has stressed that the Damascus Exhibition is one of the most important windows through which the Syrian government is trying to establish contacts with friendly countries and businessmen in order to acquaint them with the investment opportunities of Syria and establish direct channels for economic cooperation.
According to him, the Damascus International Exhibition will become the new "Silk Road" connecting the East and West, spreading the culture and civilization of the region around the world.

The Prime Minister also confirmed the desire of the Syrian leadership to turn Syria into a large-scale construction, relying on national cadres and resources, on the one hand, and on supporting allies and friends around the world, on the other one.
Khamis has expressed confidence that Syria, which has won in the fight against terrorism, will also win the battle for its restoration.

President of Abkhazia Raul Khajimba, in his turn, has stated that the Damascus International Exhibition, which is the oldest and largest in the region, indicates an increase in the level of security in Syria, and this is confirmed by the participation of delegations from various countries of the world.
According to him, Abkhazia has been participating in the exhibition for the second year at the level of the chambers of commerce and industry.
"After the recognition of the sovereignty of Abkhazia by the Syrian Arab Republic, we are proud to be here as friends of the Syrian people and as a friendly country," Khajimba said.

Director of the General Directorate for Organizing International Exhibitions and Fairs, Fares Cartelli, has emphasized the importance of the Damascus International Exhibition as one of the oldest in the Middle East and in the Arab world, which is a platform for the exchange of knowledge and mutually beneficial trade between East and West.

The Damascus International Exhibition will last until September 15. Representatives of 48 countries of the world are taking part in it. South Ossetia, along with Argentina and Macedonia, for the first time is participating in the exhibition.

Earlier, at the meeting in Tskhinval, President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and personal representative of Bashar Assad Riyad Haddad stressed the importance of participation of the South Ossetian delegation in the Damascus Fair.
As Haddad has noted, the participation of representatives of South Ossetia in the exhibition will allow launching the agreements on trade and economic cooperation signed between the countries during the first official visit of Anatoly Bibilov to Damascus.
