The South Ossetian party in the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanisms (IPRM) condemned the violation of the state border of the Republic with Georgia by Georgian policemen. As Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy of the of the RSO for post-conflict settlement, Yegor Kochiev, told reporters after the IPRM meeting, since the previous meeting had been recorded two cases of violation of the state border by Georgian policemen.
“In the area of the settlement of Gvirgvina of Znauri District, a police car drove into the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia, without stopping, made a circle around the border mark, and retired to the territory of Georgia,” Kochiev said.
Referring to the second case, the Deputy Plenipotentiary has noted that in the area of the village of Znelis the police stopped the cars and entered 150 meters deep into the territory of South Ossetia. After activating the hotline, they retired to the territory of Georgia.
Kochiev has added that for the period since the previous meeting 11 people violated the state border of the RSO.
