President Anatoly Bibilov took part in a meeting of the Joint South Ossetian-Russian Demarcation Commission, the presidential press service reported.

For the South Ossetian part, the meeting was also attended by the Presidential Plenipotentiary for Post-Conflict Settlement Murat Dzhioev (Сhairman of the South Ossetian part of the Сommission), his Deputy Yegor Kochiev and Deputy Head of the KGB Border Service Sergei Tibilov.

For the Russian part - the head of the Russian part of the Commission, Vadim Postnov, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Department of Geodesy and Cartography of the Rosreestr and the Office of Cadastral Works and Land Management of the Rosreestr.

The head of state highly appreciated the work of the Commission, stressing that it is undoubtedly difficult.

"I want to Express my gratitude for the fruitful work that is very important and necessary for us. In fact, we have already come to the end of it, but these processes should not be perceived as a delineation of relations between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation. We don't see South Ossetia outside of Russia and we don't see Ossetia divided into North and South. In any case, Ossetia will always be United," Anatoly Bibilov said.

Vadim Postnov, for his part, noted that the work of the Commission always proceeded on a wave of mutual understanding.

“Thank you for the high assessment of the work of our joint commissions: the Republic of South Ossetia and the Russian Federation. We are carrying out the work that was laid down in the interstate agreement, where there are special instructions for both parties. Our stay here is always marked by a great sense of friendship, and our entire meetings end with great satisfaction,” he said, thanking the South Ossetian side for the warm welcome.

Further, the work of the Commission continued without representatives of the media.
