On behalf of the President Anatoly Bibilov the Defense Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia sent a letter to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation with a request to send a military field hospital to the Republic.
In a letter addressed to the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation Sergei Shoigu, acting Minister of Defense of the RSO Ibragim Gasseev has noted that there is an outbreak of the incidence of a new coronavirus infection in the Republic and asked to deploy a 150-bed hospital on the territory of the RSO as soon as possible with the secondment of specialized specialists and the provision of appropriate medical equipment.
The Ministry of Defense also requested a biolaboratory of the RCB protection troops for PCR analysis, disinfection in military units, as well as social facilities.
The letter was sent in accordance with the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on Alliance and Integration and the Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Republic of South Ossetia on the provision of medical assistance to military personnel.
