The Russian parliamentary delegation arrived on a working visit to Tskhinval, the Presidential Executive Office told IA "Res".
A delegation from Russia led by the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev, will hold a number of meetings in the capital: with the head of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov and parliamentarians. The meeting with the President is scheduled for 9:00 am Friday.
The delegation also includes senators Crym Kazanokov and Oleg Seleznev, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots Kazbek Taysayev, and the staff member of the Federation Council Mikhail Sinitsin.
The parliamentarians intend to discuss with their colleagues the issues of bilateral cooperation and the situation in general.
Meetings within the framework of inter-parliamentary cooperation are held on an ongoing basis, both in the Parliament of South Ossetia and in the State Duma of the Russian Federation. The agreement between the Parliament of South Ossetia and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation on inter-parliamentary cooperation was signed in September 2008.
