The performance "Antigone" on the stage of the Vakhtangov Theater began the tour of the Vakhtangov State Drama Theater of South Ossetia in Moscow. As the director of the South Ossetian theater Madina Valieva told IA "Res", the debut of the tour was successful.
“The actors have outdone themselves. A piercing playing that did not leave anyone indifferent. The audience felt the tragedy so much that they came to their senses for a long time, the case when absolute silence explodes with applause. In my opinion, this was a way out to a new level for our theater,” the director shared her impressions.
According to her, the audience included representatives of the Ossetian diaspora in Moscow, Moscow theater lovers, well-known theater critics. The play was watched by Ambassador of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, the Embassy staff, wife of President of South Ossetia Linda Kumaritova.
As noted by Valieva, the tour of the South Ossetian theater will continue with a three-day program at the Actor's House on Arbat.
“The three-day program at the Actor's House will begin with the opening of the exhibition “History of the National Theater”. We expect a large number of guests from among our compatriots and Moscow colleagues, friends of the theater. A small concert program is planned with the participation of our artists. After that, the play "Julius Caesar" will be shown. Admission is free, by invitation cards. We tried to give invitations to everyone who could get through to us. We thank everyone who come to our performances, for their support,enjoy the success of the troupe,” said the director of the theater.
