A meeting with a delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic headed by Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the country Muhammad Akram Al-Ajlani, who is a member of the Parliamentary Friendship Commission of the SAR and the Republic of South Ossetia, who arrived to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the Republic Day, was held in the Parliament of South Ossetia on Sunday.
The guests were greeted by Speaker of the South Ossetian Parliament Alan Tadtaev. "We are glad that on such a joyful day our brothers from the Syrian Arab Republic are next to us. It is a great honor for us to receive the delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic," the Speaker said.
Tadtaev has expressed confidence that friendly relations between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Syrian Arab Republic will only strengthen for the benefit of the peoples. "Your visit is symbolic for our Republic. This is the first time a delegation of such a high rank has come to us from the Syrian Arab Republic. We are happy with the positive steps that are taking place in Syria, and we hope that peace will soon come to you," the Speaker stressed.
Muhammad Akram Al-Ajlani expressed his gratitude for the invitation and welcomed the parliamentarians of South Ossetia on behalf of the Syrian parliament.
"We came to our brothers, our friends, and God grant that such good relations always exist between our states. Thank you for inviting us to such a significant holiday for you, and God forbid that soon Syria will also come peace and justice, "said Akram Al-Ajlani.
Akram Al-Ajlani wished peace and prosperity to the people of South Ossetia.
"The Syrian people have suffered a lot of suffering because of the war. You also had a war. God grant that there will only be peace in Syria and South Ossetia. Festive events dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic will begin in South Ossetia on the morning of September 20. A military parade will be held on the theatrical square of the capital at 11.00 with the participation of ceremonial crews of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the border service of the KGB, the Ministry of Emergencies, the Ministry of Justice, the 4th Guards military base of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the Border Guard Service of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
At 12.00 at the "Olympus" Sports Palace in Tskhinval, sports competitions in swimming will be organized. At 14.00 in the building of the State Drama Theater, a solemn meeting of representatives of the public of the Republic "Native land - my Iryston" will take place.
The festive events on this day will end with a concert program on the Theater Square of the capital at 20.00.
