On Wednesday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev held a meeting with representatives of the Defense Industrial Complex of the Russian Federation, the press service of the head of state reports.
"The parties discussed the prospects for improving the command and control of the Armed Forces of the Republic," the press service said.
Greeting the guests, the President noted the timeliness of the meeting. ⠀

"Given the geopolitical situation and given our interest in increasing the level of combat capability, I consider it necessary and timely to discuss the issues of mutual cooperation," he said. ⠀

The Defense Industrial Complex representative thanked the head of state for the warm welcome and stressed that the Republic of South Ossetia was, is and will be a true ally of the Russian Federation. ⠀

“Russia is interested in maintaining stability on the territory of South Ossetia, as well as in the development of the Republic. We, as one of the leading companies in the field of information technology in Russia, are ready to contribute to the development of the country, first of all, to the development of information technology in terms of improving the command and control system of the Armed Forces of the Republic,” he concluded.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the Presidential Executive Office of the Republic of South Ossetia Alan Dzhioev and the Defense Minister of the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Pavlov.
