The profile committee of the Parliament of South Ossetia will work out the issue of sending an appeal to the legislative body of Belarus to recognize the independence of the Republic.

According to the press service of the Parliament, such a proposal was made at the session of the Parliament on Wednesday by the Chairman of the Committee on Economics, Small business and Agriculture Alan Tekhov.

“We have the opportunity, if earlier some political consequences, including sanctions, interfered, today they already exist. Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic should work out this issue on its own line,” the deputy noted.

Speaker of the Parliament Alan Alborov addressed this issue to the Chairman of the profile committee Zaza Driaev for further study.

In the "Miscellaneous" section, Ivan Slanov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Industry, Construction, Transport, Communications and Natural Resources, raised the issue of financing the Investment Program facilities, having noted that contractors still carry out all the works at the expense of advance payment.

Minister of Finance Kazbek Tsarikaev has noted that the issue concerns the Ministry of Construction more than the department he heads, having added that there are no problems with financing the facilities of the Investment Program.

Speaker of the Parliament Alan Alborov proposed to MP Ivan Slanov to invite representatives of relevant ministries, including the Minister of Construction, and hold a committee meeting on this issue.

Deputy Garry Muldarov has noted that the problems of customs, importation have not yet been resolved; traffic jams have remained the same as they were before.

“Can't we all write to Moscow or our North Ossetian colleagues to solve this problem,” the deputy noted.

Speaker Alana Alborov added that this issue should be raised at all levels in order to close it once and for all.

Grigory Kochiev, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Parliament, and Zurab Kokoev, Plenipotentiary Representative of the Government in the Parliament, took part in the meeting.
