The Leningrad Region is always ready for cooperation with South Ossetia, said Boris Kurtaev, Chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Leningrad Region, during the meeting with President of the Republic Alan Gagloev.
On Sunday, Alan Gagloev met with the delegation that had arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations in honor of the 15th anniversary of the recognition of the independence of the Republic by the Russian Federation.
"Mutual cooperation between South Ossetia and our region has a long history. We are ready to develop cooperation. The Leningrad region is always ready to lend its brotherly shoulder," Kurtaev said and conveyed congratulations to the President on behalf of the Governor Alexander Drozdenko.
Alan Gagloev, in turn, expressed gratitude for the attention paid to the Republic.
"At the anniversary events in honor of the recognition of our Republic, the presence of each region of Russia was important for us. I would like to express gratitude on my own behalf and on behalf of the people and in your person to all the residents of Russia. Thank you very much," the President said.
