The public organization “Assistance to the Donbass”, with the assistance of the Defense Ministry of South Ossetia and the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic, announces the formation (clarification) of a database of the citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia participating in the Special Military Operation conducted by the Russian Federation (hereinafter - SVO) and members of their families, reports the press service of the defense department.
"The request of the family members of the SVO participants to provide the information to the republican and district military commissariats indicating the family's home address, contact numbers of close relatives, the number and dates of birth of children of their desire to receive higher professional education in the Russian Federation indicating the chosen specialty on a preferential basis (as children of the SVO participants)," the statement of the press service says.
This information is necessary to consider the issue of allocating target quotas for citizens of the Republic of South Ossetia for studying in higher educational institutions of the Russian Federation with the start of studies in the 2024/25 academic year, providing other benefits and guarantees to the SVO participants and members of their families.
