In 2023, youth from Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined the project for the first time.

"Memory Train" - a project initiated by Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko and Chairman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus Natalya Kochanova, was first implemented in 2022 under the auspices of the upper houses of the parliaments of Russia and Belarus in partnership with Russian Railways.

In 2023, the project received the status of the event of the Union State of Belarus and Russia. The duration of the “Memory Train” journey was extended by two days - until July 6, and in addition to 90 schoolchildren from Russia and 70 from Belarus, 20 high school students from Armenia and Kyrgyzstan took part in the action. In the cities along the train route, memorial events related to the Great Patriotic War and other important dates in the history of Belarus and Russia were held.
