On Tuesday, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev held a meeting with the Russian investors and General Director of the Iranian Charitable Association for the Development of Science and Technology Seyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi.
He came to Tskhinval with the President of the Stroyprogress group of companies, Albert Dzhussoev.
The head of state welcomed the guestsm having noted that South Ossetia intends to strengthen relations with friendly countries.
“South Ossetia is a young republic. After the well-known events of 2008, the independence of the republic was recognized by Russia, followed by a number of countries. We are strengthening relations with these countries and are committed to constructive and fruitful work with friendly republics,” Gagloev has emphasized.
As noted by the President, South Ossetia is ready to ensure the security of any investments.
“We are ready to discuss the proposals with interest,” Alan Gagloev said.
Seyyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi noted the special hospitality of the South Ossetian people.
“I am very glad and proud to be next to you. I hope that with the help of the government of the Republic and our friends we can do a lot. The economy plays an important role in the development of the country,” the Director General has emphasized.
The meeting was also attended by Chairman of the Government of the Republic, Konstantin Dzhussoev.
Seyyed Mahmoud Reza Sajjadi was Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation until 2013.
