South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev attended the unveiling of a bust of the famous Nicaraguan poet Ruben Darío.
The event took place on December 12 in the atrium of the M.V. Rudomino Library of Foreign Literature in Moscow, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.
"A delegation from Managua headed by Advisor to President of Nicaragua Laureano Ortega attended the ceremony. The has guests included Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Ryabkov, representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Russia, the Cooperation Group of the Council of the Federation and the National Assembly of Nicaragua," the statement has noted.
The event took place within the framework of the 80th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Nicaragua and the 9th anniversary of Friendship Day between Russia and Nicaragua.
