The institute of analysis and resolution of conflicts at the George Mason University has held the ninth meeting between representatives of the Georgian and the South-Ossetian civil societies from 8 to 10 July, 2011 in Istanbul. According to the press release results of the meeting, this time 26 participants took part in the informal meeting, including representatives of the international and non-governmental organizations, and also advisers of the Great Britain Foreign Ministry and the Agency on the USA international development. All those present took part in the meeting as private persons and did not represent interests of any organizations.

Ukraine – is not the country, which recognition is vital for South Ossetia, -the expert Inal Pliev has declared the news agency "Res", making comments on the statement of the director of the informational policy department of the Ukraine Foreign Ministry Oleg Voloshin that «Ukraine will not recognize the independence of the self-proclaimed Abkhazia and South Ossetia».

On July, 11, approximately at 20:00 o’clock in the evening, the shooting incident took place, in the result of which the citizen of Georgia was killed. It has happened in the village Knolevi (Georgia) in close proximity to the border of the RSO.

The executive personnel of the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on postconflict settlement has started gathering materials for taking the matter to the international court against the office of the OSCE Mission in Tskhinval. It has been informed the informational agency "Res» by the Plenipotentiary of the President of the RSO on post conflict settlement Boris Chochiev. «We have the facts testifying that during the war in August, 2008 representatives of the OSCE Mission in Tskhinval did not allow even children to find asylum in the bunker of their building», - Chochiev has underlined. As he has said, such inhuman act on the part of the OSCE observers, undoubtedly, deserves condemnation.

On July, 7, 2011 the citizens of Georgia, detained by the law enforcement bodies of the RSO in Leningorskiy region of the Republic, were expelled from South Ossetia. It has been reported to the informational agency "Res" at the press-service of the Committee for State Security (KGB) in the RSO.

The working meeting of the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity and the Vice-President of the public joint-stock company "Gazprom", the Chairman of the Board of directors of the public joint-stock company «Gazprom - South Ossetia» Valery Golubev has taken place.

The first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Commission of the Russian Federation Federal Meeting Alexander Pochinok has visited a number of the restored facilities in South Ossetia within the frames of the visit in the International youth forum: «South Ossetia: peace and stability in the Caucasus».

Within the frames of the youth summer camp-forum «South Ossetia: peace and stability in the Caucasus» the round table on the subject "Upgrading" has taken place in Tskhinval. The first Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Commission of the Russian Federation Federal Meeting Alexander Pochinok has addressed to the participants with a welcoming speech.

The KGB RSO information

At the end of June through the official representative of the KGB RSO Frontier service the official appeal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has come in the authorities of South Ossetia with the request of searching for the persons who have committed crimes in the territory of Georgia. In the result of the undertaken measures, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the RSO has detained the citizens of Georgia Irakly Saakashvili and Gabriel Basharuli who were hiding out in the territory of Leningorskiy region of the Republic. Now they are transferred to the KGB RSO Frontier service. At present investigating actions for establishing the reasons of their staying in the Republic of South Ossetia are being carried out. It is planned their further transference to the Georgian side.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity on behalf of the people of the Republic of South Ossetia and on his behalf has congratulated the President of the Bolivarian Republic Venezuela Hugo Rafael Chaves Frias on the 200th anniversary of Independence of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. In the congratulation telegramme, in particular, is said: «On July, 5, 1811 the National congress which assumed the power in the result of revolt in Caracas in April, 1810, has proclaimed the independence of the country. Today, in two hundred years after the beginning, in Venezuela and in all Latin America the independence is reviving, being adjusted to the new time features, new circumstances, - for the sake of preservation of rich history, unique culture, formation of the powerful and worthy state where should live the future generations - here is that high idea which is taken as a principle of the Independence Day. At all times the love for Native land and indefatigable work of the freedom-loving people of Venezuela provided its progress and made it the mighty and prosperous power.
