The incident in the Georgian village of Koda is a direct continuation of the provocation and escalation of tension policy launched by Tbilisi at the end of August 2019 by setting up an illegal post near the South Ossetian village of Uista (Tsnelis).

During these three months, Georgia demonstrated to South Ossetia and the entire international community the whole set of cliches and tactical steps with which, in theory, the armed confrontation begins.

The Tbilisi regime posed a real threat to regional security, the innocent victims of which are ordinary citizens of Georgia living in the territory bordering South Ossetia

Information received by the state security Committee of the Republic of South Ossetia indicates that the fact of the use of automatic weapons on November 5 in the Koda settlement of the Khashur municipality of the Shida Kartli region of Georgia, bordering on South Ossetia, is connected with an armed incident between the Georgian interior Ministry and the local Georgian population.

In the city of Reichenau (Austria), on Thursday started the 20th seminar of the research group “Regional Stability in the South Caucasus”. The seminar will last until November 10, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medvedev is taking part in its work, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.

The theme of the seminar: "Concrete steps to break the impasse in the South Caucasus." Dmitry Medoev will make a report “South Ossetia - History and Modern Realities”.
