President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov at the meeting with doctors of the Academician I.P. Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of the Republic for the assistance provided in the fight against the pandemic, the press service of the head of state reports.

For two weeks, Russian specialists who arrived in South Ossetia to assist in the fight against the spread of the new coronavirus infection, were working in the Tskhinval hospitals, sharing their experience in the treatment of COVID-19.

I a day, 206 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the PCR laboratory of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee; 57 were positive, Marina Kochieva, the chief sanitary doctor of the Republic, told IA "Res ".

“Over the past day, 57 cases of coronavirus have been detected. 21 people have been removed from the medical register; in total, 274 patients have recovered from the coronavirus since mid-September,” Kochieva said.

According to Kochieva, 1243 patients are under medical supervision.
