The delegation from Russia will visit the Investment Program facilities under construction in South Ossetia

The delegations from the Russian Federation and Abkhazia arrived in South Ossetia on a two-day working visit.

The Russian delegation has included representatives of the Presidential Executive Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, headed by Igor Maslov representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development headed by Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach, as well as the employees of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

The Abkhazian delegation is headed by Timur Agrba, head of the capital construction department of the Republic of Abkhazia.

On Thursday, Russian and Abkhazian delegations are expected to arrive in South Ossetia on a working visit. According to the press service of the head of state, the Russian delegation will include representatives of the Presidential Executive Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development headed by Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach, as well as the employees of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

The Abkhazian delegation has included representatives of the RA Capital Construction Department.

The invited forensic archaeologists will study potential burial sites of the missing persons in South Ossetia

Forensic archaeologists Andrei Starovich and Yugoslav Pendich, invited by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit.

The arrival of experts is carried out within the framework of the Coordination Mechanism for the search for persons missing in connection with the armed conflicts of the 1990s and 2008. Together with the authorities, experts are facilitating the study of potential burial sites.

South Ossetia approved a new procedure for the use of weapons and military equipment in the protection of the state border

The Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia has made changes to the procedure for the use of weapons and military equipment in the protection of the state border and natural resources of the Republic. According to the new document, when protecting the state border, it will be possible to use weapons against drones.

Valery Alikhanty, a member of the KGB Border Service of South Ossetia, made a corresponding report at the government meeting on Wednesday.
