In the capital of South Ossetia, the official opening of a monument to the Soviet-Russian illegal intelligence officer, a native of South Ossetia, Vladimir Iosifovich Lokhov, has taken place.

The bust was installed near the Parliament building of the Republic. Archaeologist, specialist in ancient Alan culture and medieval history of the Caucasus, Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kuznetsov, passed away on Sunday at the age of 97. He will be buried on the Walk of Fame in Krasnogvardeisky Park (on Kosta Avenue) in Vladikavkaz on Tuesday.
