A delegation of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography (MIIGAiK) headed by Rector of the university Nadezhda Kamynina arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit.

Ambassador of South Ossetia to Nicaragua Narim Kozaev and Deputy Head of the Nicaraguan Foreign Ministry Arlette Marenko discussed the state and prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation, the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

The anti-tank mines were discovered in Tskhinval during the construction and installation works along Bush Street, the press service of the South Ossetian Ministry of Emergency Situations reports.

"On Monday, the duty unit of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia received a message that anti-tank mines in the amount of 2 pieces were found during the construction and installation works along Bush Street," the report says.

Later, sappers from Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia found two more anti-tank mines at the construction site.

Pupils and teachers of secondary school No. 2 in Tskhinval continue to weave camouflage nets for fighters from South Ossetia who are in the special military operation zone. They have already sent a batch of nets to the special military operation zone and received a lot of positive feedback from the guys from the front.

Commemorative events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Georgia's military aggression against the Republic in August 2008 will be held in South Ossetia.

The Chambers of Control and Accounts of South Ossetia and Bashkortostan signed an agreement on bilateral cooperation, which provides for interaction and exchange of experience between the two departments.

For the part of South Ossetia, the document was signed by the Deputy Head of the Control and Accounting Chamber Vadim Khubulov, for the part of Bashkortostan - by the head of the Control and Accounting Chamber Konstantin Shagimuratov.

The parties expressed hope for further cooperation, emphasizing that it would benefit both republics.

The leadership of South Ossetia, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Speaker and deputies of the Parliament, as well as members of the public, laid flowers at the "peacekeepers stele" located on Peacekeepers Street in Tskhinval.

The laying ceremony was also attended by Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, ex-president Leonid Tibilov, military personnel, including former peacekeepers.

On Friday, the Republic is celebrating the 31st anniversary of the entry into the Republic of the Joint Peacekeeping Forces in the zone of the Georgian-Ossetian conflict.
