Parliament of South Ossetia has published a response to the request to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, in which the Foreign Ministry explains the rights of Russian citizens who have received summons for mandatory attendance at military registration and enlistment offic as part of the partial mobilization announced in the Russian Federation.

The matter is about citizens of the Russian Federation permanently residing in the territory of South Ossetia and being employees of the state authorities or power ministries and departments of the Republic of South Ossetia.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic, the ambassador presented copies of his credentials to the first Deputy Minister.

On Thursday, at the session, parliamentarians of South Ossetia unanimously supported the appeal of the State Duma of Russia to the UN General Assembly, the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the European Parliament and the parliaments of the countries of the world about the threat to peace and stability in Europe coming from Ukraine.

The question was brought to the session by the first Vice-Speaker of the Parliament Peter Gassiev.

Deputies of the State Duma of Russia adopted the appeal on the threat to peace and stability in Europe posed by Ukraine on September 21.

South Ossetia, in conditions of the unstable international situation, relies only on the Russian Federation and its armed forces. South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has stated this during the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which took place on Tuesday in Moscow.
