South Ossetia, in conditions of the unstable international situation, relies only on the Russian Federation and its armed forces. South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has stated this during the meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, which took place on Tuesday in Moscow.
"In the conditions of the unstable international situation, we must rely on a friend, on a friendly country, and in this we see only Russia, its armed forces, which are stationed in South Ossetia. Thank you very much for reaffirming Russia's commitment to its obligations under the signed agreements," Dzhioev said.
He has emphasized that it is important for the Republic that such a reliable guarantor as the Russian Federation ensures the security and stability of South Ossetia, expressing gratitude to the leadership and people of Russia for the large-scale socio-economic assistance.
