Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia reports on the further development and strengthening of relations with the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has noted that Tskhinval is closely monitoring the current situation in Donbass in the light of the special military operation launched on February 24 by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to protect the DPR and the LPR, the purpose of which is to ensure the security of the republics, as well as protect the rights and interests of the population living there.

On Wednesday, a rally was held on Theater Square in the capital of South Ossetia in support of the decision of Russian President Vladimir Putin on a military special operation to protect the DPR and the LPR. The organizer of the peaceful action was the Republican political party "United Ossetia". The rally brought together more than a thousand people from all districts of the Republic.

The rally was opened by the actor of the State Drama Theater Soslan Bibilov.

President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov commented on the statements of media personalities opposing Russia's military operation to protect the republics of Donbass.

“Today, some celebrities say they are against the war in Ukraine. I have a question for them: have you still not seen the war? For eight years shelling has been going on in the LPR and DPR, people are dying, and for some reason we have not heard from these same cultural figures that they are against the killing of civilians. I want to ask them: do you divide people into necessary and unnecessary to society?

The CEC of South Ossetia has formed candidates for appointment to four polling stations outside the Republic in the presidential elections on April 10, Igor Chochiev, a representative of the CEC, told the IA “Res”.

On Tuesday, the IDP children from the Donetsk People's Republic began their studies at the secondary school No. 3 in the capital of South Ossetia.

It should be reminded that a group of forced migrants from the DPR of 42 people arrived in the Republic, 24 of them are children.

“We understand you very well, as we also went through monstrous trials. They were also shooting at us, they did not consider us as people. I have repeatedly said that if the people set a goal, then no shells will stop this people. I feel sorry for the children. And we must win back the future of our children,” President Anatoly Bibilov said at the meeting with refugees from the DPR.

19 children from families of internally displaced persons from the Donetsk People's Republic will begin the educational process at the Tskhinval school No. 3 on Wednesday, Olga Siukayeva, head of the education department of the Tskhinval administration, told the “Res” news agency.

On Wednesday, March 2 at 17:00, the United Ossetia Republican Political Party will hold a rally on the Theater Square in Tskhinval in support of the policy of Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, according to the official website of the Party.

“The Central Committee of the RPP “United Ossetia” is appealing to all political parties, public organizations and citizens of the Republic to come to the rally and support all the decisions made by President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on Ukraine,” the organizers of the rally noted.

As part of the instructions of President Anatoly Bibilov, since February 24, the power structures of the Republic have been implementing a set of measures to ensure security in connection with a sharp aggravation of the military-political situation in the Ukrainian direction and possible provocative actions of official Tbilisi, according to the statement released on Monday by the State Security Committee of South Ossetia.

Against the backdrop of the military-political situation in the Ukrainian direction and the conduct of a special military operation to ensure the security of the LPR and the DPR, the State Security Committee of South Ossetia has recorded increase in nationalist and neo-Nazi sentiments in Georgia.
