South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov has received a delegation of Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Natalia Nikiforova. During the meeting, Leonid Tibilov noted that South Ossetia and Transdniestria were friends for over 20 years and expressed confidence that this relationship would go on.
"I have been in Transdniestria many times and always came back with excellent impressions. On my behalf and on behalf of the people of South Ossetia, I wish the people of Transdniestria to fulfill all the given tasks of the State,"- said the president. In turn, the head of the Transdniestrian delegation conveyed the congratulations from the President of Transdniestrian Moldavian Republic Evgeniy Shevchuk. She also noted that people of Transdniestria had been watching attentively the events in South Ossetia and had been worried about all the difficulties and the stages of the electoral process of the young recognized country. "The development of a civil society in any country is not an easy process and we went through these difficulties, as well as you. Therefore, we are admiring your courage, composure, stance, aiming at the prosperity of your state. And I think that's why people have entrusted to you their future "- underlined Nikiforova. The parties assured each other of the continued cooperation and expressed the desire to develop friendly relations and to find effective ways for working together, including the Community "For Democracy and Human Rights."
