"Formerly, a lot of villagers along the both sides of the South Ossetian-Georgian border irrigated their land lots by Tiriponsky canal. Water was coming there from the water intake located in Tskhinval, and then was passing through the territory of Georgia, but for some reason was not reaching Tsinagar area of South Ossetia, "- said Gagloyty.
He added that in the mid-2000s, this water-irrigation artery had stopped functioning.
"At today's meeting, we have raised the question of restoring Tiriponsky canal. At the same time, we appealed to the Georgian side to give us the guarantee that the sharing of the canal will provide fully South Ossetia with irrigation water in accordance with the schedule, "- said Gagloyty.
He has added that the OSCE representatives, in turn, promised to give examples of the successful sharing of an irrigation canal.
The Georgian party has presented the information about a citizen of South Ossetia - Achiko Tuaev, who has been serving a sentence in a Georgian prison.
"For a long time Achiko Tuaev was not identified. To date, it became known that he had been serving his sentence in a Georgian prison under the name of Alexander Merabishvili. Today we were given his photographs for identification, "- said Gagloyty.
He has explained that Achiko Tuaev is seriously ill, and the South Ossetian side believes it goes without saying his release from prison.
"Due to the reasonable approach of the Georgian party, we are able to visit more often our citizens, kept in prisons of Georgia, send them personal things from their relatives ", - said the deputy envoy.
According to him, the South Ossetian side was also informed of the completion of the amnesty in Georgia.
"The fact that as a result of the amnesty our prisoners have not been released, unfortunately, means total hostility, by which is obsessed the Georgian society towards South Ossetia", - stressed Gagloyty.
Direct or indirect evidence of this fact, according to Gagloyty, is the statement made earlier by the representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia Kakha Kemoklidze at the MPRI meeting.
"A couple of months ago Kemoklidze ventured to characterize the Ossetian citizens, being kept in Georgian prisons. In response to the offer to exchange Georgian and South Ossetian prisoners from the principle of "all for all" Kemoklidze said that the citizens of South Ossetia had committed more grave crimes, "- said Gagloyty.
He has emphasized that the statement by Kemoklidze is not commented in the Georgian society.
" We consider this fact as adherence of the Georgian society to this position," - said the deputy envoy.
According to him, during the meeting, was also voiced the request of the relatives of South Ossetian missing citizens, who asked to provide them with the registration data of the letter that they had previously sent to the Prosecutor General of Georgia through the OSCE co-chair.
"We were assured that the authors of the letter would be provided with the data", - said Gagloyty.
According to him, the meeting also discussed the incidents at the South Ossetian-Georgian state border and other issues.
