Negotiations of the leaders of the two friendly republics will be held on November 26-27 during the official visit of the Abkhazian president to South Ossetia.
According to the press service of the head of Abkhazia, Bibilov and Khadzhimba will discuss the state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, as well as issues of further development of Abkhaz-South Ossetian relations. Within the framework of the visit, it is planned to sign bilateral agreements. The Abkhaz delegation will also include the head of the Presidential Executive Office Daur Arshba, Minister of Foreign Affairs Daur Cove, Minister of Education Adgur Kakoba, Minister of Agriculture Daur Tarba.
This is the second high-level talks between South Ossetia and Abkhazia over the past six months. Earlier in July to President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov was on an official visit in Sukhum. During the July talks, the heads of the two states noted the historically friendly nature of the Abkhaz-South Ossetian relations and called for the dynamic development of bilateral cooperation in all key areas.
In addition, several agreements were signed. In particular, the heads of the foreign ministries of the two countries Dmitry Medoev and Daur Cove signed a plan of consultations in the sphere of foreign policy for 2017-2018.
Activization of cooperation between South Ossetia and Abkhazia is also taking place through inter-parliamentary cooperation. In September Sukhum hosted the talks between the heads of legislative bodies of the two republics, during which the Abkhaz and South Ossetian parliamentarians agreed to intensify contacts. Next agreements were reached on November 10 at a meeting of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of States "For Democracy and the Rights of Nations". Among the joint events, has been considered the visit of the parliamentary delegations of the two republics to Syria.
