During the visit of the official delegation of South Ossetia to Donetsk on the occasion of the Day of the Donetsk People's Republic, a working meeting was held between the foreign ministers of the two republics, Dmitry Medoev and Natalia Nikonorova.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia, Dmitry Medoev thanked for the invitation and congratulated the people of the DPR on the upcoming holiday.
During the conversation, the parties discussed topical aspects of bilateral cooperation, including the issues related to the implementation of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance between the Republic of South Ossetia and the Donetsk People's Republic.
The official delegation of the Republic of South Ossetia, headed by President Anatoly Bibilov, is taking part in celebrations marking the 5th anniversary of the Donetsk People's Republic, which will is held on May 11. The delegation also includes Defense Minister Ibrahim Gasseyev, Interior Minister Igor Naniyev, Chairman of the Supreme Court Olesya Kochiev, MP Alexander Pliev.
On May 12, the official delegation of South Ossetia will also visit the Lugansk People’s Republic, where it will also take part in celebrations in honor of the 5th anniversary of the Republic.
