A young singer from South Ossetia, winner of several competitions and festivals Leyla Margieva, presented Ossetia at the international talent festival, which is taking place in France. As the vocalist herself told the “Res” news agency, the festival was held in Paris as part of the project “The Caucasus is the Pearl of Russia”.
“At the festival, I introduced South and North Ossetia. The event organizers greeted us very warmly. I performed four compositions, including one song in Ossetian “Iry chyzhdzhytae”, and one song in French. Maestro from France Andrei Shevchuk praised my performance and said that I would be invited to other events. Also, excursions and meetings with interesting people took place as part of the project,” Margieva said.
The singer noted that the project involved artists from all over the Caucasus, as well as from around the world.
She was accompanied by her vocal teacher Nodar Gutsati.
The singer addressed the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov and Anatoly Margiev the words of gratitude for the opportunity to take part in the festival.
According to the singer, she was pleased with her performance and a trip to France, the only thing that upset her was that she had her bag of documents stolen from her in Paris.
Leyla Margieva has also shared that this year she plans to organize her solo concert in Tskhinval.
A graduate of the Tskhinval school number 6 has been studying music since 12 years old. In 2014, Leyla participated in the contest of talented youth of South Ossetia "Stalyty Ferttyvd". She didn’t reach the finals, but was seriously carried away by vocals, starting to practice singing at the Children's Creativity Palace, where Marina Dzigoeva became her first singing teacher.
Student of the Vladikavkaz College of Arts named after Valery Gergiev Leyla Margieva is a laureate of various music competitions and festivals, including "Origins", "Blue Bird", "Future of the Planet", "Azure Wave" and many others.
