The development of the agro-industrial complex of South Ossetia was discussed at the meeting in Tskhinval with the participation of the Russian delegation.
The meeting was attended by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov, representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture andMinistry of Economic Development of Russia, FSBI Rosselkhoztsentr, FSBI Kubanskaya MIS, SAS Prikumskaya, Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania Kazbek Vaziev and others. According to Anatoly Bibilov, the Republic has potential in terms of developing the agro-industrial complex in terms of geographic location and climatic conditions.
“I think that the opportunities that you have seen here. in the Republic, will be realized, and in the end, we will get a certain product for the development of agriculture in South Ossetia. Less than two weeks after the meeting in Moscow, we saw a prompt response of the Russian side, which is the evidence of Russia's interest in developing the agro-industrial sector here. I am confident that this interaction will reach a higher level,” Bibilov said.
He has noted that today it is very important to develop the agro-industrial complex.
“The farmers who are trying to work today have a very hard time. If we do not stand next to them, do not support them, their efforts will not be crowned with success. Therefore, there is great hope and confidence that we will take the steps that are necessary for the development of the agricultural sector,” the President stressed.
According to Roman Nekrasov, Director of the Department of Plant Growing, Mechanization, Chemicalization and Plant Protection of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the level of responsibility of the delegation members is increasing, given the attention paid by the head of state to the development of the agro-industrial complex.
“If the President pays such attention to the development of the agro-industrial complex, accordingly, we are faced with the task of working out and fulfilling our mission very efficiently and quickly,” he said.
Nekrasov has expressed gratitude to the Acting Prime Minister of South Ossetia Gennady Bekoev and Acting Ministrer of Agriculture Lev Pukhaev, who provided the members of the delegation with the necessary conditions for work and skillfully answered their questions.

“Of course, there is still serious work to be done in this direction. It is impossible to cover all areas in one visit, but today we have taken soil samples that we will take to Russia, we will make a full analysis and prepare scientifically based recommendations. We have also visited many agricultural facilities, we will prepare proposals on how to increase the efficiency of agricultural production there,” said a representative of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture.
He has added that in the near future 4 units of modern high-performance equipment will be donated to the agrarians of South Ossetia, which will significantly facilitate the implementation of technological operations on the territory of the Republic.
Nekrasov also announced the readiness of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation to improve the skills in the field of the agro-industrial complex of a certain number of workers from South Ossetia.
