August 20, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Ossetia to Abkhazia Oleg Botsiev
presented credentials to the Abkhazian President Alexander Ankvab.
As IA "Res" has been reported at the press service of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia,
Alexander Ankvab congratulated Oleg Botsiev on his appointment and wished him success in his work. In turn, the South
Ossetian diplomat assured that he would make every effort to further strengthen the friendly relations between the peoples
of South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

Аugust 23 the delegation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, headed by the Deputy Minister Igor Zubov is
expected to arrive in South Ossetia on a working visit .
As IA "Res" has been reported at the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of South Ossetia, as part of the visit
will be held a meeting with Interior Minister of South Ossetia Akhsar Lavoev.
The sides will discuss issues of interaction, cooperation and assistance, including the investigation of corruption crimes

Four Georgian citizens detained in South Ossetia for violation of the border regime, have been deported to the Georgian territory. As IA "Res" was reported by the spokesman of the KGB Border Guard Service of South Ossetia Robert Gazzaev, "in accordance with the court decision, the infiltrators were fined 500 rubles, and then they were in due course handed over to the Georgian authorities."
